The Wagner Zip52 Alu & GM5000EA Finishing Spray Pack is designed for a maximum material pressure of 8bar (116psi), along with the Wagner GM5000EA Electrostatic Manual Gun for Airspray applications, ideal for applying low-conductive solvent-based lacquers. The Wagner VM5000 Controller has been developed in new range of intelligent control units based on advanced technology and long experience. The VM5000, allows all electrostatic parameters to be adapted in real time to provide the best gun performances in any conditions.

The right combination of Airless, Airspray and electrostatic charging, combined with the unique Wagner know-how, results in perfect finishing, high productivity, soft spray pattern, excellent wrap around and very high transfer efficiency. All ready-to-use Wagner Zip 52 Finishing Pumps include the Fine Flow Controller (FFC): precision material pressure regulator, anti-pulsation unit and filter in a single device.

Zip Pump Technology

Typical Applications & Fluids

In the Wagner AirSpray process, the paint is atomised entirely by air. The task of the pump is to feed the gun with a constant flow of materials.

Two coupled diaphragms (2) are moving from the left to the right and back by help of pressurised air (3). The steering valve (4) guides the air to the side where the diaphragm is moved to contract the fluid chamber (1). Material is being transported by contraction and expansion of the fluid chamber volume and the inlet- and outlet valves (5&6).

Fine Flow Controller (FFC)

This device allows adjustment with maximum precision and simplicity, allowing fine tuning of the pumped fluid pressure, at the same time working as a filter and anti-pulsation system.

FFC allows to obtain a regular and no-pulsating flow, ideal for maximum quality finishing and high precision applications. (Precisely adjustable filter flow controller with filter and integrated pulsation damper)

This 3 in 1 device, further to being very compact, reduces the internal dead space where usually residuals and dirt build up. Both cleaning operation and colour changes result easier, quicker and cheaper.

2 | Solvent Based Application – Suitable for the majority of solvent based paints with a paint resistant above 150kΩ. (50kΩ. in the LowR Gun & 1kΩ.cm to 1MΩ.cm in the EAW Gun) Connections are directly at the gun base making them easy to remove.
